The design

The goal was to create a user friendly and personalized cookbook that food lovers would enjoy.

I conducted a user research to identify the essential and desired characteristics the app would have.

The 5 steps of the "Design Process": Analysis, Plan, Design, Prototype and Testing.

The design process

After research and analysis, I developed user flows and wireframes. Having these, I carried out user tests to determine pain points, as well as the level of usability, and learnability.

These tests helped me polish the interaction in the app.

Colors and Fonts

The next part was defining the UI elements like fonts and colors. Due to the nature of the app, I used warm colors.

Color psychology can stimulate emotions and warm colors generate energy and hunger, so users would feel the desire to prepare something to eat.

Another important note was to have sufficient levels of color contrast to avoid eye strain and have a high level of legibility.
